THE Otota of Ughelli Kingdom, Olorogun Peter Tobore Akpofure has tasked the Presidents General and Youth Leaders of the Ughelli to be united and focus of the development of their various communities.
Akpofure, Ariomacha r’Ovie gave this charge while hosting communities Presidents General forum and Youth leaders from the 23 communities of Ughelli after his installation of the Otota of Ughelli.
According to him, “No community can develop without the input of their leaders and the youths and I am appealing to you all as one family to join hand with the Ovie of Ughelli to move the kingdom forward.
“Since my installation as the Otota of the Kingdom, I have not been able to meet and appreciate you the role you all played to ensure that the ceremony was peaceful.
“We must come together to map out new strategies on how to reduce crime, criminality and develop our kingdom to attract investors and also to bring back the lost glory of Ughelli people.
My position as the Otota will be use to bring back those companies that has left us and to ensure that there is peaceful coexistence amongst us.
On his part, chairman of the PGs forum, Umurhohwo Superior, assured the Otota of their total support.
He said, “The best that has ever happened to Ughelli kingdom in the last 7years is your installation as the Otota by our monarch, HRM, Dr. Wilson Oharisi III, JP.
“There is no doubt that with your influence in the society, Ughelli will be great again. We are standing with you to take our kingdom to the next level and bring back our lost fortune”. He assured.
Dignitaries present at the event includes, Iyasere, and Izomo of Ughelli kingdom, Olorogun Kenneth lwhewhe, President General Ughelli Descendant Union, UDU, Chief Uteme Bateren, Comrade Pius Oghenekaro Odjimogho, Chairman Ughelli Descendant Union Youth’s Forum (UDUYF), Comr Emmanuel Kporharo, Media Assistant to Ughelli North Chairman, and the 23 Presidents general of Ughelli communities, amongst others.
